DESCRIPTION
-----------
* Pattern generator based around 6 simple geometric shapes.
* Makes use of recursion to create interesting patterns by altering rotation
or size with each repeated drawing of the selected shape.
* Pattern drawing is automatically recorded for play back. A sequence of up
to 9 patterns can be recorded and played back.
* Easy-to-use control panel. Workbench environment with sizeable, dragable
windows, etc.
* Additional features:-
Background and foreground colour selection
Pattern sequence editing features: delete and Clear
Choice of palettes
Continuous play option
Variable step and delay parameters.
QUICK START
-----------
Rather than go into unecessary detail, here are some brief instructions to
get you going:-
(1) Click on a background colour
(2) .......... foreground colour
(3) ........ one of the repeat mode buttons |Rotate| or |Size|
(4) ........ a shape selection button |Box|, |Tri1|, |Tri2|, |Ell|, |Diam|
or |Star|.
This will cause a pattern to be drawn and recorded.
Try clicking on |Play| to see the pattern re-form.
(5) Now record another pattern by doing steps (2) - (4) again, but changing
the foreground colour, repeat mode and/or shape selection. You can
record up to 9 patterns this way.
(6) Before playing, drag the output window to a desired size.
(7) Click on |Play| to put all the patterns together into a nice little
visual extravaganza. The output window can be brought to the front in
the usual way during playback.
Additional options
------------------
|Cont| - enables continuous playback when the |Play| button is clicked on.
Hold down the LMB during playback to stop the repeats. (NOTE: this
does not halt playback instantly as ShapeDraw will finish playing
the current sequence first.
|Palette| - cycles through a small selection of colour sets. Note: the
default Workbench palette is only available when the program is
first run.
|X-step| - input field to set horizontal spacing between repeated drawings of
the shape.
|Y-step| - ditto above but in the vertical.
|Delay| - delay in 1/50ths of a second between repeated drawings of a shape.
Sequence editing
----------------
|<-| - deletes the last pattern from the sequence
|Clear| - clears the screen and resets the recording counter to 0.
